Heather Krause, PStat is a data scientist with years of experience working on complex research problems in the social, non-profit, and data journalism sectors. She is passionate about helping people tell rich stories using the best data available and simple tools.  Heather works on stories that mix math, science and creativity into moving and comprehensive narratives and data journalism pieces.  As the founder and principal scientist at Datassist she has worked with over 250 international organizations including FiveThirtyEight, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Syrian Refugee Resettlement Secretariat, the Status of Women in Canada Ministry, CARE, the World Bank, the Knight Foundation, and the Canadian Foundation for Innovation.
