Mike is currently the Executive Director of the Ottawa Alliance to End Homelessness, a member-driven non-profit, non-partisan organization working in partnership to inspire action, to generate knowledge and to inform a community-wide effort to achieve an end to homelessness in Ottawa. Prior to joining the Alliance – and the non-profit sector – Mike was a Policy Advisor in the federal public service, holding positions at Infrastructure Canada and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada. While engaged in graduate studies, he has also worked in various community settings addressing poverty and urban inequalities.

Throughout his career, Mike has found himself working and volunteering at the intersections of social policy, research and community development - working with diverse partners to promote individual and community well-being, drawing on individual strengths and the broad multi-scalar systems of support that help individuals and communities to thrive.
